New Modern Fence with National Hardware
As you all know we have been wanting to work on our exterior for a long time now. The first step was repairing our old fence that had a HUGE hole in it. The picture below shows you where we started, straight out of a horror movie I tell ya!
I have worked with National Hardware before and I knew I wanted to use them for all of the Hardware on our fence. So I started to do the research and I loved their Matte Black options. These are all of the supplies I used from them, they all have direct links to the products.
Once the hardware was chosen I designed around it. I loved the sleek modern look of the hardware and I wanted a fence to match that look. Therefore, I went with horizontal slats for a more modern look and I liked the way the slats contrasted against the vertical slats of my house. I decided to leave the wood a natural color and stained it Red Cedar .
Since we are painting the exterior of our house white, with black trim I wanted the fence to stand out on its own. Additionally, since I loved the hardware so much, I wanted it to pop against the light wood, and it sure does! I am so excited for the rest of the exterior to get a facelift. Using National Hardware for this fence was the first step in the revamp of Burnett Bungalow exterior woo hoo! I will always recommend them, they are an amazing company!
