Fall Home Tour
I am so excited to team up with some wonderful women to showcase our homes for the Fall. Once you read through mine you need to go check out everyone else. All the homes listed are listed at the bottom, and these are ladies I always gather inspiration from :) Alright, lets get to it!
First off, I want to let you know, I didn’t go all out this year for Fall. Instead, I decided to add subtle touches with textures and colors. Christmas will be a different story :) However, I wanted a simpler feel for the Thanksgiving and fall season than we normally do. I have felt that my life lately has been hectic and cluttered and I wanted to have a more minimal (well minimal for me) feel to this season. It calms me :) So I wanted to walk you through the areas of my home that I added some fun, quick easy touches to. Anyone can do it, it is cheap, easy and makes you still feel ready for the holiday season without going all out.
I didn’t change much in this room. I just added some neutral pillows and a neutral throw. Like I said I am toning down my colors for the Fall (less blush and blue) more neutral tones. I also added this vase with some added greenery for texture. I switched out my darker pouf for a lighter one and of course had to have a Fall Candle up in the mix!
In the living room I switched out my blue and blush pillows for greens and burgundy. I kept my neutral pillows in here and added a darker blanket with some fringe because you know I love my fringe and pompoms. For pillows I tend to follow the 60-30-10 rule, 60% neutrals, 30% greens and 10% burgundy. I also kept this beautiful concrete bowl full of white and light yellow pumpkins. Last, I added some new art (far left) it felt like the perfect piece for this room.
In this room I didn’t change much, I wanted to keep the art the same, I liked it for fall. I just moved my candlesticks in here from the other room where I used them for Halloween. I love that these are both black and gold, and varying in heights for added depth. I will eventually create a full taplescape for Christmas, but like I said, I am liking the minimal look for Fall. It is calming to me and this momma needs some calm in her life.
For the kiddos rooms I do quick little changes. For instance, for Sienna’s room I changed out her pink and gold pillows for neutrals and added a cute fall throw at the end of her bed. I also changed out her rug and replaced her dark grey with a lighter one. Such easy, quick changes but it can totally change the feeling of a room or space.
For the kitchen, I just added a floral arrangement, a fall candle, and put out my additional cutting boards for stacking. Something as simple as a floral arrangement can really give you that Fall feeling.
I found these felt pumpkins at the Target Dollar spot and stick them around the house on shelves, dressers, ect. Just a quick, cheap, and fun way to add a little fall to a space.
Last, in our room I added a little fall to our dresser. Again, I changed out the pillows for neutrals. I also added these covered books (one of my favorite things to style with) and some neutral bookends. Last, of course, a plant.
There you have it, quick easy fall touches! Now check out the accounts below for some more Fall Inspiration.
Cheers!
