The Power of Paint
I have had a lot of questions of how to renovate your home on a budget and the number one thing I can say is PAINT! It is cheap but powerful and can change the entire look of a room. I wanted to share with you some ways you can incorporate paint into your home to make a big impact for a small price. Check out how I did it in my home below.
1.) Color block around a picture
This is such an easy way to add a pop of color in your house and make your artwork really stand out. It can transform a space with just a small can.
2.) Color Blocking a Wall
I felt this wall needed an extra punch so I decided to color block part of it. I love how the dark blue ties in with the artwork and makes the space stand out a bit more. Also, paint is great for transforming old furniture. I used it to paint these dark brown book cases white and saved myself a lot of money.
3.) Stencil a Space
Stenciling is more time consuming but just as cheap of a fix. Wallpaper wouldn’t work in this bathroom of ours because of the textured walls but I love how the stencil turned out more than wallpaper.
4.) Do an accent wall
Painting just one wall a bold or dark color can cause a dramatic effect to any space. From moody to bright, there are a lot of options to make your space stand out.
Here are a just a few ways to use paint, but there are endless options. So next time you want to re do a space on a budget pick up a can of paint my friend.
Cheers!
