4 Home Exterior Trends That Are Dominating Right Now

If you're a stickler for home design, you will know that a home’s exterior is a mark the interior design. If a home doesn’t look stylish on the outside, chances are that the inside will be just as dull and boring. This line of thinking has finally caught up with the majority of homeowners. Maybe it's the rush to sell homes after the pandemic or it's just a yearning to take pride in the things that we love, but the exteriors of homes have transformed lately. In just the recent months, these trends have begun to dominate the home design world.

Warm neutrals

Everybody has become familiar with neutrals, but there is a shift towards a more colorful approach. Warmer neutrals, like cream have shot up in popularity because they are sophisticated and yet welcoming. They’re not as rigid as a pale white or grey. A beige or weak coffee color has also caught the favor of homeowners because they are easy on the eyes, they make you feel calm and yet they have depth and character.

A new skin

The exterior is usually just a practical matter. Yet, a great home exterior service will fit great modern cladding that is waterproof, windproof and it will still look stylish. The key is to identify problems first, such as a leak in the roof that could be affecting the exterior cladding. Then they will inspect the shingles that support the roof. One of the great things they do is, try to match the exterior cladding with the shingles, so there is one seamless style of the whole exterior. This takes a lot of planning and walking you through your material and color options. In the end you will have a home that has a brand new skin.

Truss roofing

Truss roofing has both excellent interior and exterior style. If you don’t know what it is, it's simply a triangular roof design but it uses units of triangular wooden structures as well as purlins, to create an extremely strong roof. It's pointier than most other roof designs, which is great for a few reasons. Rainwater will not create such a noise when it's pouring down because the angle is so steep, the roof rapidly washes the water down the gutters. It's also stronger against storm winds. Internally, you don’t have to have a ceiling because of how strong the interval units are.

Plenty of wood

Wood is rising as a favorite material choice for homeowners because it impacts the world less than others. It's also plainly more attractive, as having a wooden pergola in your garden or over your front porch, is instantly going to boost your home’s curb appeal. It's a nice hangout space where you can enjoy the garden or place some shade over the front door if you live in a very hot climate.

What kind of exterior does your home have and are you happy with it? Which one of these trends is you most likely to implement in your own home?
