Current Backyard- Electric Grill Chicken Wing Recipe
With our pool freshly re done we are ready for summer and for hosting all the barbecues with friends and family. With the Current Electric Grill hosting is made easy with all of its fun features that help both the experienced and beginner barbecuer make the best possible meal. For this dinner night with friends and family we decided to cook up some wings as a starter. We opened up the Current Backyard app and found their recipe for wings on there. When you open the app there are so many guided cooks that are perfect for summer entertaining. We went with the tried and true wings with an apricot BBQ sauce, and the recipe did not disappoint. Let me break down what we did when we followed the recipe on the Current Backyard app.
Step 1- To prepare the wings just add salt and pepper them before putting them on the grill.
Step 2- Open the Current Backyard app and follow the recipe on the app for Guided Cooks. The recipe states to heat the grill to 425 degrees. Once heated, place the chicken wings on the grill and heat each side for fifteen minutes. We used the timer on the app to let us know when to flip them.
Step 3- Take them off and slather them in your favorite barbecue sauce. It really is that easy and quick.
While they were cooking we were inside hosting and using the app to let us know when they were ready to flip. We love cooking on the flavor trays and seeing the nice grill marks that they create. They also drain the fat, which adds a lot to your cooking experience. You can use the flavor trays to smoke, steam, or braise by stacking them
A couple other things we added to our grill collection were their grill accessories. Their cover is a beautiful color and blends in perfectly with our landscape, and their spatula and tongs are awesome. We didn’t use the spatula in this cook but we used the tongs. The tongs are extra long so they make it easier to flip without getting smoke in your eyes, or if you are doing it really hot it prevents you from accidentally burning your hand. There are also hooks on the side to hang all the accessories.
The app has a lot of other recipes that we will try out this summer while hosting, but we wanted to start with wings (channeling the return of football Sundays). We are so excited to continue to test out recipes and continue to learn the ins and outs of grilling using our Current Electric Grill.
